1. What Searchumrah is

Searchumrah is a discovery and matching platform that helps pilgrims find and contact travel agents offering Umrah packages. We do not sell travel services ourselves and are not a party to any contract you enter into with an agent. When you choose our optional "Pay via Searchumrah" payment protection, your payment is collected and held by our RBI-licensed payment partner (Razorpay) — not by Searchumrah — and released to the agent around your departure. We are a technology platform that facilitates payment to the agent; we never custody your money.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for activity under your account; do not share credentials.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3. Agent listings and verification

We hand-select the agents we list. Onboarding is not open to anyone who applies — we look for a genuine, multi-year track record and a reputation for reliability among pilgrims that predates their presence on Searchumrah, and we perform KYC verification (identity, business, and contact details) before an agent is published. Agents remain responsible for the accuracy of their listings, pricing, inclusions, and credentials, and for delivering what they promise.

This selection process is a genuine effort to keep low-quality and fraudulent operators off the Platform, and it materially reduces your risk versus an open directory — but it is not a guarantee. We do not warrant the performance of any agent or the quality of any package, and even an established agent can fail to deliver. Decisions to engage an agent, and the diligence you do beforehand, remain yours.

4. Reviews and user content

• Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experience.
• Do not post content that is false, defamatory, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that includes another person's private information.
• By posting content you grant Searchumrah a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it on the Platform.
• We may remove content that violates these rules without notice.

5. Bookings, payments, and refunds

You can pay for a booking in one of two ways, and the choice is always yours:

• Pay via Searchumrah (optional payment protection). Your payment is collected by our RBI-licensed payment partner, Razorpay, and held securely and released to the agent around the time your trip begins — the bulk after your departure, with a portion released shortly before so the agent can book your travel services, never in full the moment you pay. Searchumrah is a technology platform that facilitates this payment to the travel agent; it is not the travel service provider and never takes custody of your money. Refunds are governed by the agent's cancellation policy shown on the package; a refund made before the funds are released is processed back to your original payment method. Razorpay's payment-processing fee (typically ~2% + GST) is not returned by Razorpay on a refund; Searchumrah charges no fee of its own on bookings and does not fund refunds from its own money, so the maximum refund is the amount paid minus that processing fee.
• Pay the agent directly. You may instead pay the agent off-platform on their own terms. In that case Searchumrah processes no payment and offers no payment protection for that transaction.

Payments made via Searchumrah are held and released to the agent around your departure (a portion may be released shortly before, so the agent can book your travel services); refunds before release are processed to your original payment method. All package pricing, inclusions, cancellation, refund, and change-of-date terms are set by the agent. Travel documents. Any traveller details and documents you provide after booking (such as passport scans and photos) are collected only to process that trip, stored securely, and permanently deleted shortly after your departure. We do not retain your travel documents long-term. Reusable traveller details you choose to save to your profile contain no document images and can be deleted by you at any time. 6. Prohibited use

• Scraping, automated access, or interfering with the Platform's operation.
• Reverse engineering or attempting to bypass security or rate limits.
• Impersonation, manipulation of reviews, or running fake agent profiles.
• Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual property

The Searchumrah name, logo, and Platform design are our property. The underlying software is provided to you on a limited, non-exclusive, revocable basis solely to use the Platform.

8. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that listings are error-free or that the Platform will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Searchumrah is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of agent performance, package delivery, travel disruption, or third-party conduct. Our total liability for any claim related to the Platform is limited to ₹10,000.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Searchumrah against claims arising from your content, your use of the Platform, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Account Settings. When you do, your account is deactivated and hidden immediately, then kept for a 90-day grace period during which signing back in with the same email fully restores it. If you do not sign back in within 90 days, your account and its data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered (subject to records we are required to retain — see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bangalore, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Platform and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
