An Umrah agency runs on small decisions made all day: which booking to confirm, which pilgrim still owes a passport copy, whether the December group is filling, whether the January price is right. Most of that lives in a dashboard you have to open, sign in to and click through. Since 1 October 2026 you can also just ask — in ChatGPT, Claude or any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol.
The short answer
Connect your Searchumrah agency account to your assistant once. After that it can tell you what needs your attention, how each package is selling, what came in as enquiries and whether your GST month is in order — and it can confirm bookings, change prices and cut-offs, copy a package to new dates, publish it and run an offer. It changes nothing until you say yes in the chat, and it can never issue refunds, see your pilgrims’ passports or touch your payout bank details.
Connect once, in about a minute
- In Claude open Settings → Connectors; in ChatGPT turn on developer mode under Settings → Apps & Connectors. Add a custom connector named Searchumrah with the address
https://searchumrah.com/api/mcp/user. - Your assistant opens a Searchumrah page. Sign in with the email code you already use for your agency, read what it is asking for, and press Allow. You sign in on searchumrah.com — the assistant never sees your code.
- Your agency tools appear on their own: an agency account gets agency tools and never a pilgrim’s. There is no slash command and no login message to type.
The illustrated guide shows each screen. You stay connected for 30 days of use, and you can disconnect at any time from Account settings.
9 am: what needs you today
“What is waiting on me today?”
The assistant reads your action queue — what pilgrims are waiting on you for right now: bookings to confirm (longest wait first), cancellation requests to approve, documents pilgrims have submitted for you to review, and confirmed trips leaving within seven days without a visa — each with a link to that list in your dashboard. A broader question gets the overview:
“How many bookings do I have — pending, confirmed? Is my plan active?”
10 am: deciding bookings
“Confirm booking SU-001042.”
This is where the one rule matters. The assistant does not confirm anything when you ask. It checks the booking against the same rules your dashboard uses, then reads back exactly what will happen — which booking, which pilgrim party, which package, what the pilgrim will be told — and waits. Only when you say yes does it carry it out, through the same code the website runs, with the same WhatsApp and email to the pilgrim. You can decline a booking, approve a pilgrim’s cancellation request, and mark documents issued or a payment collected the same way.
Noon: is the package selling?
“How many bookings does my 15-day December package have?”
Bookings and page views per package, so you can see which departures are filling and which are only being looked at. Then act on it:
“Raise the 4-sharing price on my December package to ₹92,000 and close bookings on 20 Nov.”
Price changes follow the editor’s own rules: a room with more people must cost less per person, the cheapest room is always the price shown on your cards, and a price outside the sensible range is refused with the reason. The change reaches your package page, the listing and the homepage within seconds of your yes.
3 pm: the next departure
“Make the same package for January, 10th to 24th.”
The assistant makes a draft copy of an existing package for the new dates — hotels, itinerary, inclusions and policies carried over, the same trip length, and a new title or prices if you give them — and leaves it unpublished. When you are happy:
“Publish the January copy.”
Publishing from the chat runs the dashboard’s checks — complete details, a cover photo, verified hotel distances, an active plan — plus the editor’s own price rules, and tells you exactly what to fix, with a link to the editor, if anything fails. Brand-new packages, with their photos and hotel map pins, are still made in your dashboard.
5 pm: an offer for the slow month
“Give 10% off on all my packages till 31 December, first 20 bookings.”
One live offer per scope, the same limits as the dashboard form, and it shows on your cards as soon as you confirm. Offers for one particular customer stay on the website, because they message that customer.
Any time: the numbers
“How many enquiries do I have?”
“Is my GST for September in order?”
Enquiries come back as counts — the total, new this week, how many are new, contacted, quoted, won or lost, and the follow-ups due by the end of your day in India. The names and numbers stay on searchumrah.com. The GST summary is the same report as your GST page: invoices issued, taxable value, GST charged, credit notes, whether your GSTIN is on file, and the link to download the GSTR-1-ready workbook.
What it will never do
- Change anything without your yes. Every change is prepared first and carried out only after you confirm it in the chat. A confirmation lasts ten minutes and works once.
- Move money out. No refunds, no payout bank details, no subscription purchases — those stay on searchumrah.com.
- Read your pilgrims’ private details. No passport numbers, no phone numbers, no names, and not the notes pilgrims wrote — it only tells you that a note exists. Text that reaches an assistant can end up in that assistant’s logs, so it never gets it.
- Cancel a confirmed booking on its own. It can approve a cancellation the pilgrim asked for — exactly what your dashboard allows.
- Act behind your back. Every completed action is listed in Account settings under “Connected AI assistants”, and noted on the booking’s own timeline with the assistant’s name.
